Almost four years ago I was asked by Amberwood Productions to do a series of conceptual designs for a show dubbed simply as “Rollbots”. Working closely with the genius creator of the series, MCM, I was fortunate enough to continue as concept designer and Art Director of this exciting new television series. 

With pre-production and pitch material being created as far back as 2005, the journey has been a challenging, but rewarding experience.  All in all, over a thousand drawings were completed by the design team at Amberwood Production Studios here in Ottawa.

The Rollbots world was carefully imagineered by MCM, who would guide our concepts from initial thumbnails to final approved designs.  These designs have been kept secret for the last three years, so not to spoil the show, and I will release more material as the show progress, but for now, here are some initial concept designs of the main characters and location designs that will appear in the first episode that airs February 7 on YTV.  More information on the show can be found at the official website:
